What are the rules?

  • Only digital cameras may be used for this competition. Cell phone cameras or 35mm cameras will not be accepted.
  • Bring your own empty memory card on the day of the Marathon.
  • All photos must be taken during the hours of the event.
  • All images must be submitted on a digital memory card, a thumb drive, or CD by 4 pm on Marathon day.
  • Please submit only one photo per theme.
  • Pictures submitted must be in the order they appear on the theme sheet. You may shoot as many images as you like, but you may only submit one photo per theme.
  • All entrants must sign an entry/release form. Custodian signature required for entrants under 18.
  • Entry fees should be made payable to Rotary Club of Edmonds.
  • Because this is a charitable event, no refunds will be given.
  • Everyone enters at their own risk.
  • Entrant gives permission to the Rotary Club of Edmonds to use the images on our website or for publicity purposes, including public exhibition of entries.
  • Be sure to ask permission before taking pictures of people.
  • If you take pictures of children under age 16, please include written permission from their parents, including contact information.
  • List of themes will be handed out starting around 9:30 on day of the Marathon; the competition will begin at 10:00.
  • All photos are to be shot in Edmonds area as shown on map handed out at the Marathon.
  • Decision of the judges is final.
  • Failure to comply with the rules will result in disqualification.
